In a historic turn of events, Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, has been convicted on all three federal felony gun charges he faced in a Delaware court on Tuesday. This marks the first time a sitting president's child has been criminally prosecuted.

The jury found Biden guilty of lying on a federal form about his drug use when purchasing a gun in 2018. Prosecutors argued that Biden was an unlawful user of and addicted to a controlled substance when he bought the gun, making it illegal for him to possess it.

The case, brought by special counsel David Weiss, highlights the ongoing investigation into Biden's business dealings and personal life. While the gun charges are the first to reach a verdict, they are part of a larger probe that also includes tax evasion allegations.

Biden's defense team has maintained that the charges are politically motivated and part of a broader effort to discredit the Biden family. However, prosecutors have stressed that the case is about upholding the law and ensuring that no one, regardless of their family connections, is above it.

The guilty verdict carries a potential sentence of up to 25 years in prison and $750,000 in fines. Biden's sentencing is scheduled for September, and his legal team has indicated that they will appeal the decision.

The trial has drawn significant attention, with members of the Biden family, including First Lady Jill Biden, often present in the courtroom to show their support. The case has also become a focal point in the ongoing political discourse surrounding the Biden administration.

As the legal proceedings continue, the nation watches closely to see how this landmark case will impact the Biden family and the broader political landscape.
