Investor demand for SpaceX's planned initial public offering has reportedly surpassed $250 billion, according to reports citing sources familiar with the offering process. The reported demand significantly exceeds the amount of stock the company plans to sell.

SpaceX is expected to offer approximately 555.6 million shares at a price of $135 per share. At that price, the company would raise approximately $75 billion through the offering.

The proposed share price would value SpaceX at roughly $1.75 trillion. That valuation would place the company among the most valuable publicly traded companies in the world if the offering is completed as planned.

According to reports, investor orders currently represent nearly four times the number of shares available in the IPO. The level of demand indicates the offering is heavily oversubscribed ahead of pricing.

Sources familiar with the transaction told reporters that institutional investors have submitted substantial orders for shares. Final allocations are expected to be determined closer to the offering date.

If completed at the proposed size, the SpaceX IPO would become the largest initial public offering ever by capital raised. The transaction would surpass previous IPO records set by other global companies.

SpaceX was founded in 2002 by Elon Musk. The company develops and launches rockets, spacecraft, and satellite systems for commercial, government, and international customers.

The company operates the Falcon 9 rocket, which has become one of the most frequently launched orbital rockets in the world. SpaceX also conducts missions for NASA and other government agencies.

In addition to its launch business, SpaceX operates Starlink, a satellite-based internet service. The network consists of thousands of satellites in low-Earth orbit that provide internet connectivity to customers in numerous countries.

Starlink has become a major part of SpaceX's business operations and revenue generation. The service provides broadband internet access to residential, commercial, maritime, aviation, and government customers.

SpaceX is also developing Starship, a fully reusable spacecraft designed for carrying cargo and passengers on future missions. The company has stated that Starship is intended to support missions to the Moon, Mars, and other destinations beyond Earth orbit.

The reported demand for the IPO comes as investors continue to seek access to shares of large private technology companies. Prior to the planned public offering, SpaceX shares were primarily available through private markets and secondary transactions.

The company has conducted multiple private funding rounds over the years, with valuations increasing significantly as its launch business and Starlink network expanded. The proposed IPO valuation represents the highest valuation in the company's history.

Reports indicate that pricing and final allocations are expected to be completed before the shares begin public trading. Additional details regarding the offering may be released as the IPO process moves forward.

The reported $250 billion in investor demand highlights the scale of interest in the offering and reflects orders submitted ahead of what is expected to be a record-setting public market debut.
