New York Attorney General Letitia James has asserted her readiness to take action if former President Donald Trump fails to meet his financial obligations stemming from a significant court ruling. Following a landmark judgment last week, which found Trump liable for inflating his personal net worth to secure more favorable loan terms, James stated her willingness to seize Trump's properties and assets should he be unable to settle the $364 million debt, inclusive of interest.

Letitia James emphasized her intention to pursue legal avenues to enforce the judgment if Trump lacks the funds to comply. Referring to the recent ruling by Judge Arthur Engoron that mandated Trump to pay $354 million in damages, alongside approximately $100 million in pre-judgment interest, James affirmed her office's commitment to seeking restitution through asset seizure.

Trump, who has consistently denied any wrongdoing and plans to appeal the judgment, faces the prospect of asset forfeiture should he fail to satisfy the court's requirements. James expressed confidence in the strength of her case on appeal and reiterated her office's resolve to take decisive action, even singling out Trump's 40 Wall Street skyscraper as a potential target for asset seizure if necessary.
