Trump Narrowly Ahead Of Biden In 2024 Race

On November 5th, Americans will cast their votes for the next president. The primary contenders are expected to mirror those from the previous election: incumbent President Joe Biden for the Democratic Party and former President Donald Trump likely securing the Republican nomination.

This potential rematch marks the first in nearly seven decades. Following his defeat in 2020, Trump's supporters made efforts to challenge the outcome, resulting in federal charges against him for his alleged involvement in the scheme, alongside three other criminal cases. Biden's presidency has been characterized by significant challenges, including high inflation and international turmoil in regions such as Afghanistan, Ukraine, and the Middle East.

Both candidates currently face low approval ratings, turning the upcoming election into more of a referendum on the lesser of two perceived evils rather than a straightforward popularity contest with Trump narrowly ahead in the polls.

The Weekly Crier is closely monitoring the electoral race, offering updates on the latest polls. However, it's important to note that pre-election polling has limited predictive power until closer to the end of summer in an election year.
